The last day was cold and rainy.. they held the riders so they could ride in for the closing ceremonies in a group..on cue. |
Meanwhile a big crowd awaited the arrival of their heroes. |
As the riders rode into the closing ceremonies the crowd cheered wildly |

This photo (right) tells it all. The "Riderless Bike" symbolizing those who lost their lives to AIDS and cannot ride for themselves |
|
Most of the riders on an AIDS ride do it because they can help others and try to make the world a better place. They also strive to meet a personal challenge. There is no better group of people anywhere to share an experience of this magnitude with. |
Dan on his old bike rode in the St Patricks day parade in Dallas to raise public awareness of the Tanquerray's AIDS Rides |
Some Things never Change. Here Dan is 2 years later in the Gay Pride parade in Dallas. Rumor has it that the balloons are to help keep him from falling. |
|
